I hope she rests in peace, finally. Now I hope the husband is hammered for being a greedy bastard and the family is hammered for being selfish bastards.
Oh and this just kills me. From CNN:
President Bush sent condolences to Schiavo’s families. “I urge all those who honor Terri Schiavo to continue to work to build a culture of life where all Americans are welcomed and valued and protected.”
Ah yes, this from a man who comes from Texas with the highest capital punishment rate in the country. Even if you might be innocent, to death with you! Unless you are too brain dead to protest being used as political fodder in your President’s brother’s state. Then you are valued and protected.

And also the same president who signed the Texas legislation to allow doctors to pull the plug even when the family disagrees.
(I dunno if I can hammer the husband for being greedy. There’s no money left from the settlement, it paid for her care, and the parents are the ones who’ve sold the movie and book rights as well as the donor list. The husband’s gone out of his way to avoid the media and any promotion of himself or the story.)
