Howdy!

Monday, August 22nd, 2005

Well has certainly been a busy summer. I was in Minnesota 2 weeks ago, then I drove to Wisconsin for a date and to see the countryside. I didn’t experience any of that midwest weather people complain about and saw my grandparent’s stomping grounds. Was a total blast.

This past weekend, I went to see Wayne Brady in concert with Mary. I am so envious of that man in sooooo many ways. It was a wonderful show. I’ll never forget the Liposuction Lullaby.

Had some other dates, played much WoW this weekend, got to level 58 :) Worked some on Sophie’s Timelines (how you will put timed events into interactive books) and spent a lot of time exploring what I want from life.

Today, Arden is driving up from La Pine for our annual summer lunch, which I totally appreciate as it is 4 hours each way, for lunch! Last year I went down there on a Saturday and spent the day. This year my weekends have been busy busy busy.

I’ve been meeting a lot of interesting people and one thing is for sure - I enjoy meeting them. Some aspects of my life need to slow down, some need to accelerate but one thing is for sure - I love good karma.

I’m home! Expensive week!

Monday, August 8th, 2005

Well am home from a week in L.A. for work. Am headed to Minnesota Wed, then Wisconsin to visit a friend. I learned it is crazy expensive to rent a car one way ($123/day)

I went to see my Ophthalmologist today to check my right eye, since I bumped my head, and the eye has been weird since. Well, not sure it was related, but my right eye is stronger now, not weaker, so getting the right lens set to the same as the left. This could explain the eye being tired.

Also, for close up reading, like computer work, my glasses are FAR too strong now, like 2 steps, much more than a year ago. So $300 for new reading glasses. The easier glasses immediately took strain off my eyes. Those come in a week. So $550 total.

Oh and car insurance was due. $335. Over $650 in expenses last week for work. Hope I get reimbursed soon. Crazy crazy expensive month. :)

Long week!

Saturday, August 6th, 2005

It was a successful week of meetings in L.A. Now I can hang in the ocean breeze for two more days before heading home to what i hear is horribly hot Portland, then head out to Minnesota for the last half of next week.

I am pooped :)

I took Tim (associate) to Disneyland last night. He’d never been to any Disney park, so I just had to. Is my calling in life. Was fun, hit 7 rides and had dinner at Raintree.

Today I hope to get together with Leah (not sure if that is happening), Matt at some point and tomorrow might end up back at the park in the AM with my niece!

Then I get a weekend off I think, then the following weekend am going out with my ex-gf who is obsessing over me (according to her blog) which is an odd feeling, then a concert. The weekend after that I am off to Sacramento to spend time with Peri and see my cat Spot who is now 12.

So, all in all, a very busy month. :)

Hell Hath Truly Frozen Over - Apple ships Multibutton mouse!

They said it would never ever happen, especially with Steve Jobs at the helm. True, it’s another $49 that you can get from a third party cheaper, but it is slick looking and seems cool!
