The Burning Crusade

Picked up the Burning Crusade expansion for World of Warcraft tonight. Pre-ordered at 7pm, bought at midnight.

There were about 300 people wrapped around the mini-mall that Gamestop is in from 11pm on. It was 29 degrees and Crocs are very cold, even in socks. My toes are sicles :)

Am now installing the four CDs. I’ve already entered my code.

I hear people on the east coast are already 61. They were smart and had 25 quests ready to turn in for experience.

I stopped by the Sunnyvale Fry’s, which has some Blizzard people on hand with 4500 signed copies.

I’ve never seen the parking lot so full and I’ve seen it pretty full before. The line was enormous. Screw that noise! I went home.

I’m only a 46 mage anyways, no rush. At the rate I’m levelling, I’ll be 60 around… Christmas.

Oh, I hear EQ2 announced their next expansion. It comes out Feb 15th or so. Just 3 months after the last expansion, Echoes of Fadywer (EoF). They’d promised before the last one that they were going to ease back on pumping out content to make sure they did it right. They lied. Again. Has anyone even made it to the final raid mobs in EoF? Knowing SOE, their loot tables aren’t even populated yet…

Bought pre-orders for me and my nephew from Walmart two weeks ago. Got there around 11:30pm and the place was packed. Since I was the only one there with a pre-order, I had my own little line. Good thing too because that Walmart didn’t get too many copies. Guy asked if I wanted the CE or regular, asked for one of each. The CE has a DVD for installation so that went quickly on my Mac. Will install on the…errr…uhhh…work PC tomorrow. I have been casually playing a paladin, level 24 (I know, I suck) and will probably start a blood elf.
