The BetterHTMLExport comand line tool provides a way for saavy users to get the features of BetterHTMLExport from outside iPhoto. With it you can generate web albums from your iPhoto albums, or from a set of images anywhere else on your computer.

Since it is command line tool, you have many options available to automate exporting multiple albums.

In this initial release of the command line tool it is currently required that you use the iPhoto plugin to configure the export settings the way you want them then save them. All saved settings are available for use by the tool. This limitation will be removed in later releases of the tool.

Due to a change in the iPhoto library xml file, image comments are not available when using the command line tool.

The BetterHTMLExport command line tool is installed at /usr/local/bin. For more information on the use of the tool, see the BetterHTMLExport man page (man BetterHTMLExport).
